Pootlers Blog Hop

Welcome to another Pootles Blog Hop.

This Hop is organised by the lovely Hannah McCurley and features  New Catalogue Products.

It is our choice as to what we showcase but it must be from the the new Catalogues.

We have lots of Pootlers joining in this hop and if you are wondering where the name Pootlers comes from I will explain.

My Upline is Sam Hammond Donald and she is known to all her team as ‘POOTLES’

Today I am sharing a brand new to me Stamp Set and Designer Series Paper. The stamp set is called Carols of Christmas and the corresponding DSP is called Merry Little Christmas.

Different colours from what we think of as christmas colours as there are shades of Green, White and Black, or in Stampin’ Up! technology Old Olive, Basic Black and Whisper White.

The size of my card is 5.5 x 4.25 inches, folded in half, cut from Old Olive A4 Card Stock

To this I added a piece of DSP from the above collection using Snail Adhesive to fix it and rounded the corners for interest.

Using the Layering Squares Framelits  for both pieces. The back piece is the reverse side of the DSP, using Whisper White for the smaller square I stamped in Old Olive the ‘Peace on Earth’ stamp from Carols of Christmas Set. I thought it looked basic, so decided to use Red Metallic Thread to wrap round the corners in ‘Spirelli’ fashion.

My sentiment stamped using  Cherry Cobbler Ink onto Old Olive card stock which had been punched out with my latest punch called Everyday Label Punch.

A few Rhinestones complete my card.

I hope you like what I created and hope you will leave me comments as I like reading what you have to say.

Happy crafting

  1. Can’t believe how we always seem to go for similar things Christine! Our creative auras must be aligned. Love this of course, one of my favourite patterns from the catalogue, love the contemporaries as much as the traditionals.
