Day 4 and this is going well. A dull damp day here in Leicestershire so a good excuse to craft.
Today I am sharing a card using Touches of Texture, hence the title.
Along with Timeless Textures and the retired Gorgeous Grunge these sets are the ones I use when I want to make a ‘quickish’ card.
My card base in Wisteria Wonder measures 5.5 x 4 inches and folded to make a top fold.
I stamped onto Whisper White measuring 1/8″ less than the base.
Both sets from Touches of Texture have been used to stamp the images, using Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum and Elegant Eggplant.
I coloured the small flowers using Watercolour Pencils and then a touch of Clear Wink of Stella on top.
For the dragonflies and bumble bees wings I also used Wink of Stella.
I bet you are wondering why I added a small butterfly to the top corner, well I admit to blotching the stamp so decided a butterfly would not only compliment the card but cover up the mistake.
There is a saying that when you make a mistake – cover it with a Butterfly 🙂
A nice simple card to make and in my all time favourite colours.
