The Joy of Sets Challenge #jos003

Hello everyone and welcome the the new Fortnightly Challenge from the Design Team over at The Joy of Sets Challenge Blog.

For the next two weeks starting today our chosen letter is – ‘C’

So check your sets and see what you have to use and join in with us.  One lucky person chosen by the team gets to be our Guest Designer so another reason for you to join in.

Take a look on the blog to see if we chose you in our last challenge.

This is my make for the letter ‘C’ which also happens to be the first initial of my name.

So what set did I choose to use – CREATIVE ELEMENTS – which is sadly retired. I still love this set and will be making more cards using it in the coming weeks.

It is a 5.5 x 4.25 card in Perfect Plum as the base.

A panel of Whisper White measuring 5.25 x 4 has been stamped from this set again in Perfect Plum as a background.

I have used Wisteria Wonder Card Stock for the 3 panels, the bottom panel being embossed using the Petal Burst Embossing Folder.

The circle and oval have been punched using Scallop Oval Punch (now retired) and one of the Layering Circle Framelits.

Both images are stamped in Perfect Plum and a Enamel Shape from the Halloween Pack (again retired) for the flower centre.

For the sentiment which is from the same set, is stamped onto Perfect Plum for contrast and punched using the Washi Label (retired)

I love the way that Fiona has set up this challenge as it allows everyone to use Retired and New products from Stampin’ Up!

So play along with us, we love to see and comment on your makes.

Happy Crafting

Christine xx

  1. So many fantastic elements in your card Christine! I love how you have teamed Perfect Plum and Wisteria Wonder, they look fabulous together. I adore the enamel dot in the centre of the flower and the background stamping with the embossed strip. I love the washi tape punched sentiment, perfect finish to a lovely card x
