This week I am challenging myself to post a card each day, starting today until Friday.
As the title suggests, I am making Birthday Cards. We can never have too many and they are always handy for when you forget you haven’t time to make one.
I am also using up some of my card blanks I bought before joining Stampin’ Up!.
Rather than throw them away I decided to use them for cards such as these.
So here is Card 1
They will all be the same size of 6 x 6 Scalloped Edge Cards but each one will be different.
Monday’s card uses a new to me Stamp Set called Big on Birthdays. I like how you have larger designs to say Happy Birthday along with smaller sentiments.
To cover my card base I chose to use one the beautiful DSP papers from the Floral Bouquet set.
I used the Apothecary Accents Framelits which are now retired. This doesn’t matter when I am making cards for myself as I can use anything I have in my Stock.
The image is stamped using Sahara Sand Ink and then coloured using the Watercolour Pencils with just a touch of Wink of Stella for sparkle.
The sentiments are stamped using Rich Razzleberry Ink, the good thing is that both the stamps are individual so you can mix and match.
I hope you like my design and hope you will follow me this week as I Bring Birthday’s Back.
I have received a few comments re my Watermark so credit goes to my lovely friend Jillian Selwood who is
for designing them for me.
