Card Swap Challenge

Good morning everyone and such a beautiful day, well it is here in Leicestershire.
Today I am sharing a card I made for a Facebook Card Swap Challenge I belong to.
Each month we are given a challenge chosen by our host and we have a complete month to make and send it to our Swap Partner.
This month the challenge was to make a ‘Shaker Card’ and it had to include a ‘Mermaid’
This is my interpretation and I know that my Swap Partner Julia has received it.
It is a Shaker Card and had to check out YouTube to see what was involved.  I know now that I should have used thicker Mountain Foam Tape, a lesson I will remember.
I chose to use an image from a CD I had in my stash along with a couple of Stamps.
My Shaker elements consisted of gold and silver circles and a lot of punched circles made from Acetate which I had coloured using Alcohol Inks.
I don’t think they show up much in the first photo but they do ‘Shake’ a little.
I added a few Die Cut leaves to the front of the card and the 3rd photo shows a Die Cut Mermaid
(I have a friend to thank for this)
I hope you like what you see and I will now show you the lovely card I received from my Swap Partner – Val
Vale has made this to look like a Frame and I love it.
Looking forward to reading your comments.
Christine xx
